ATC Invested quite a while back in the Matt Wennings Belt squat apparatus. at 3:20 in this video ATC is featuired in the Marc Bell / Matt Wennings explanation video - of which we are mighty proud of course. The Belt squat is really the better version of a leg press. Leg press is mostly an ego lift thing, Use to do half reps with many plates, causing pressure on a bent lower back and shear forces of the knees...with very little carry over to real world movements - like a squat. Matt Wennings explains it all in the video. We use the apparatus a lot to hammer legs after heavy deadlift and squat sessions - when the core / lower back is already tired and beat up - but legs can still do volume work.
